Opus 139 Debuts

Everyone we spoke to from CB Fisk, Inc., from Memorial Church, old friends and admirers of Peter Gomes and, apparently, the hundreds who packed the church today for its Easter service were delighted with the sound, the crisp presence, and the power of the new organ.  One woman told us “I believe Peter heard it!,” as she left the church, and we are convinced that the sizable group down for the occasion from the Kondelin Road shop believed that Charlie Fisk, their mentor, heard it as well.  Under the direction of Edward Jones, the choir provided a glorious accompaniment to Opus 139, and Opus 139, under the able hands of Christian Lane, shook the very foundations.

And the jib shots we made of the choir singing Alfred Fedak’s Spring Bursts Today, written expressly for the Inauguration of Fisk Opus 139, were truly spectacular!!  Video sample to be posted shortly…
